Descrizione

I maschi di questa specie possono raggiungere raggiungere i 120 cm di lunghezza e 18 kg di peso.

Diffusione

Si trova sulle rive degli oceani Indiano e Pacifico: dal Mar Rosso e l'Africa orientale per le Hawaii, nel sud del Giappone, l'Australia e la Nuova Caledonia. Anche dal sud-ovest della Baja California e il Golfo del Messico e l'Ecuador, comprese le isole Galapagos.
